Drink it now or cellar for up to 20 years. It is recommended to decant it for half an hour. Resonance is an American winery located in Oregon, specifically in the Willamette Valley, founded by French Maison Louis Jadot in 2013. Renowned for its excellent Pinot Noirs, the estate is managed by the Gagey family. The Pinot Noir grapes for this cuvée come exclusively from the estate's flagship vineyard (the one that gives the property its name), located in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA at an elevation of 80 to 150 meters. Here, the vines, planted in 1981, benefit from a southern exposure and soils rich in basaltic marine sediments, and they are not artificially irrigated. Following harvest and separate lot-by-lot vinification in stainless steel tanks, the finished wine ages in French oak (30% new) for approximately 15 months. In the glass, the wine reveals an intense color with garnet hues and an elegant aromatic profile that opens with ripe fruit notes of sour cherry, blueberry, ripe fig, and dark berries, followed by floral and spicy nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied and smooth, concentrated and soft. It features a distinctive, refreshing acidity, firm and well-integrated tannins, and a marked minerality. The finish is long and complex. This wine can be cellared for a couple of decades or enjoyed now with pork, duck, or salmon.
